THE CHALLENGE: As a part of a passion project I challenged myself to create a series of Pixar posters in a minimalist style, posting them in order of release date.
For Toy Story I chose the scene of Buzz and Woody sneaking back to the car inside of fast food containers. This scene was a fun and unique perspective on Buzz and Woody's teamwork and ingenuity.
A Bug's Life
The scene I chose for A Bug's Life is of Flik setting out on a journey to find help for his colony. I feel this scene really conveyed his determination and need to protect those he. cares for.
Toy Story 2
In Toy Story 2 there is a scene of Woody discovering his origins. I felt this scene really highlighted his growth as a character.
Monster's Inc.
The scene I chose for Monster's Inc. is Boo's door. This door represents a gateway between the two worlds and play's a large part in the character's solution to the films conclusion.
Finding Nemo
For Finding Nemo I chose everyone's favorite scene. "He touched the butt." I felt this scene really set up the rest of the film well. We see Nemo's frustrations laid out and displayed the problems that the charcters would eventually overcome.
The Incredibles
The scene chosen for the incredibles is when Mr. Incredible discovers what is happening to the missing heros. This is an eye opening event for him and inspires him to take action.
Cars
The scene chosen for Cars is Lightning and Doc on the dirt track. This scene is where Lightning finally receives a humbling experience and lets him finally start to question just how great is he actually.
Ratatouille
For Ratatouille I chose the cooking scene with Remy inside of the hat. I felt this scene really portrayed the trust that Remy and Linguini have in each other.
Wall-E
I chose the scene where Wall-E and Eve save the plant and do a celebratory spacewalk. This scene was really done well at an artistic level and it inspired me to see the two robots connection.
Up
In Up there is a scene where upon becoming a senior wilderness explorer Russel receives the Ellie badge from Carl. This shows Carl's trust in Russel and is a sign of the bond they have formed.
